"TWISTED TRIANGLE" by CAITLIN ROTHER |

Pulitzer prize winning journalist Caitlin Rother has written a
harrowing tale of one woman's struggle to maintain a balance between
being a mother, an FBI agent, and dealing with a corrupt husband
also an FBI agent. This is the compelling true story of
Margo Bennett, a married FBI agent whose jealous, vengeful husband,
Gene Bennett, a former undercover FBI agent, kidnapped and attempted
to murder her after she had a secret love affair with best-selling
crime novelist Patricia Cornwell. This series of bizarre events
caused a sensation when it made national news a decade ago.
Only now have Margo Bennett, her friends and family granted
investigative journalist Caitlin Rother exclusive access to personal
interviews, sealed court records, diaries and other formerly
confidential material. Stranger than fiction, this story describes
Gene's complex plan, and ultimately sent him to prison, where is
remains today. Margo Bennett is a captain of the UCBerkeley campus
police department. A haunting story, masterfully written. A
must-read. Ms. Rother is also the author of 'Poisoned Love"
and

The eldest sons of Alfred J."Fritz" Nigl, has written this book

learned working as a bouncer would serve him well in the years to
come. After the Pearl Harbor attack, he joined the United States
Army. He completed the basis training with the Glider Field
Artillery Battalion of the 82nd airborne at Fort Bragg, and was
shipped overseas to the European Theater of Operations. Eventually,
after training in North Africa, and fighting in Italy the 319th
moved to England, where the Allies were preparing for the invasion.
The Glider Battalion were sent over the Cherbourg coast
in the gliders and further inland. After D-Day Fritz'
unit moved into Belgium and Holland, fighting along the way.
A detailed account of a very important group of men.
It will be a fascinating evening and WWII aficionados. |
